Il pittoresco Lago di Ledro si trova a 655 m d'altitudine nell'omonima valle tra il Lago di Garda e il Lago d'Idro. La superficie è di 2,2 km² e la profondità massima raggiunge i 47 m. Questo lago alpino è tra i più belli del Trentino, grazie alle sue acque cristalline che riflettono le montagne circostanti e al colore turchese cangiante del lago, circondato da boschi fitti. Fino al 1847 il Lago di Ledro fu piuttosto tagliato fuori dal mondo. In quell'anno fu costruita una prima strada che presenta numerose tornanti strette. Oggi questa strada è solo percorsa da mountain biker. I veicoli motorizzati invece possono prendere la strada moderna con due gallerie, costruite alla fine degli anni '80, che conducono alla Valle di Ledro. Il Lago di Ledro è soprattutto conosciuto per una scoperta archeologica. Nel 1929, quando il livello del lago fu abbassato per lavori di natura idroelettrica, venne alla luce un insediamento palafitticolo dell'età del bronzo. Per lo stato di conservazione come anche l'espansione dell'insediamento, oggi è uno dei più conosciuti in tutta l'Europa. Diversi attrezzi che sono stati ritrovati sullo sfondo, oggi sono esposti nel museo delle palafitte a Molina di Ledro. Il Lago di Ledro è un posto ideale per rilassarsi. La scelta spetta a voi: preferite pescare, esplorare gli oltre 200 km di sentieri segnalati in sella alla vostra mountain bike, fare delle passeggiate lungo il lago oppure rinfrescarvi nelle sue acque?
