Gaetano...sono una quarantina d'anni che lo "conosco"...anzi forse sarebbe meglio dire che lo vedo, che lo osservo. Nessuno conosce il suono della sua voce..mai una sola parola...solo cenni del capo...leggeri...delicati. Qualcuno mi ha raccontato che è capitato averlo visto accennare ad un "sorriso"....ma credo che sia solo una leggenda...e a dire il vero a me sta bene che essa lo sia. Gaetano un paio di volte al giorno esce per una passeggiatina...sempre silenziosa o al massimo con qualche leggerissimo cenno del capo. L'ho voluto fotografare al suo rientro nel suo vecchio palazzo...il suo entrare nel portone con il suo inconfondibile andamento lento e ovattato...un po' obliquo...con un che di nobiliare. L'ho fermato mentre imboccava il portone e gli ho chiesto: " Gaetà...t' pigli collera si t' faccio 'na fotografia into ' o purton' tuoje??!!??". Mi ha guardato dritto negli occhi col suo sguardo da vecchio bimbo, fondo come un pozzo. E' rimasto a fissarmi per qualche secondo o più poi ha voltato le spalle e si è addentrato nel suo portone. Sono sicuro che così facendo ha voluto dirmi che si accettava di esser fotografato...ma nella stessa modalità in cui ha sempre vissuto...a modo suo e come solo lui può fare. Bad Brain
