CLOSER è il secondo ed ultimo album della band inglese Joy Division pubblicato nel luglio del 1980, due mesi dopo la morte, avvenuta per suicidio a soli 23 anni, del carismatico cantante Ian Curtis; l'album, composto da nove tracce, è caratterizzato principalmente da sonorità e testi lugubri, malinconici e decadenti, in perfetto stile post punk/new wave/dark. Tracce: 1- Atrocity Exhibition 2 -Isolation 3- Passover 4- Colony 5- A Means to an End 6- Heart and Soul 7- Twenty Four Hours 8- The Eternal 9- Decades. I rimanenti membri della band formeranno successivamente i New Order, uno dei gruppi di maggior successo nel panorama della musica post punk, new wave ed elettronica, degli anni ottanta e novanta.
