Spesso gli scatti non pianificati sono quelli che più riguardo, pensando che per un niente sarei potuto non passare di lì, prendendo altre direzioni. Passeggiavo per Joao Bom, paesino senza particolari attrattive nel nord.ovest dell'isola, quando vidi questa bella creatura (Passerenho il suo nome) pascolare nel giardino del padrone. Pensai che la forma della casa, le persane spaiate nei colori e il cancelletto di legno fossero un contesto perfetto per il cavallo, da non farsi sfuggire. Ho scelto un inquadratura da film dell'orrore (grazie all'effetto ottico del grandangolo) rendendo la casa imponente, ho poi piazzato il cavalletto e scattato diverse fotografie, scegliendo quella in cui il moto dell'animale contrastava con l'immobilismo di tutto il resto. Filtro ND graduato 0.9 SE. Fotografia presente sulla pagina web di National Geographic Italia.
