The bright red lanterns of London's Chinatown are always appealing but sometimes making an actual decent image of them is often not as easy as it looks!
This dark passageway had a building site on the right, with glossy plastic coated advertising on the boarding, creating a nice reflection.
I used the Tokina 11-16mm at 11mm @ f3.2, for many London night shots, from the Midnight Cowboy image through to Oxford Street via Soho. As in true tradition of street shooting at night, technically not perfect though this was one of the better ones and I did do quite a lot balancing exposure throughout the frame afterwards in editing. |
