Il nostro primo giorno di trekking nel circuito dell'Annapurna è stato molto faticoso. Con circa 18 Kg in spalla (attrezzatura fotografica, sacco a pelo e tutto il necessario per tre giorni di montagna nepalese) abbiamo fatto 900 metri di dislivello da Phedi a Dhampus in poco più di un ora e mezza. Trekking caratterizzato da infiniti gradini in pietra, uno dopo l'altro...e la salita diventa sempre più insopportabile ma bellissima. Arrivati a Dhampus, il percorso finalmente ritorna pianeggiante e noi riprendiamo le forze. Questa anziana donna nepalese era davanti al suo negozio di alimentari, una luce molto calda e meravigliosa le illuminava il suo viso ricco di segni dovuti all'esperienza in una terra difficile.
