Thanks, Claudio! You are right, it's not as clear as it ought to be but I loved the umbrellas and colours, so thought it worth posting . It was an appalling night in terms of weather, so shooting conditions were difficult.
The halos were present in the RAW image - any suggestions how I could have avoided them?

Dire solo che e' tutto bello se ci sono problemi evidenti, non serve a nessuno e non si migliora, certo non e' neppure facile.
Comunque sia, immagino che le condizioni di tempo e di luce non fossero certo le migliori per cui non e' semplice comporre scatti cosi' particolari senza incontrare alcun problema, sugli aloni, a volte gli obiettivi hanno questi problemi, anch'io talvolta li riscontro, per lo piu' nei controluce magari in abbinata all'utilizzo del flash pop-up per compensare e per rimuoverli ci sono tecniche fotografiche in post ma bisogna saper maneggiare bene i programmi di fotoritocco, io sono riuscito in una foto a toglierli quasi interamente, usando un po' di manualita' a forte ingrandimento (intorno al 400%) e usando il timbro "clona", pennello di dimensioni piccole (circa 15 all'inizio per sgrossare poi piu' piccolo man mano che lo spessore dell'alone si riduceva), durezza (circa 50), opacita' (circa100) e un po' di pazienza ma questi parametri sono puramente di esempio, possono ovviamente variare a seconda di "quanto" devi coprire e sostituire e dal tipo di foto, del tipo di luce luce e dallo, sfondo, pero' alla fine il risultato puo' migliorare e anche di parecchio, nel mio caso l'esito conclusivo e' stato molto buono, quelli piu' bravi in post, sapranno sicuramente anche fare di meglio e piu' in fretta le stesse cose, ma ognuno fa quel che puo' e nel mio piccolo meglio non mi lamento
