Still crazy (After All These Years) sent on December 06, 2016 (11:11) by Maserc. 25 comments, 1442 views. [retina]

1/60 f/2.2, ISO 80, hand held.

The photo puzzles me, not for the technique (having the same pattern so that you can work on the settings but I do not know what will affect on the shoot) but for meaning. The caption does not help me: if the concept is deep and understandable, the setting that you gave me does not seem to measure up. But maybe that's what you wanted: a minimal-pulp setting for an important message for shoccare beholder.
If you were to assess the message of the picture only, no title and no caption the first thought should be to "Trainspotting".

I find the concept interesting photos
true that step from maybe just has a little strength, but I inserted in a series that is tied q this thought, and with this style can work very well

You can not say that I miss you dare! The reflection that you have expressed in the caption I loved. Probably :-D body with which we are born we keep after so many years, only a very small part; a kind of reincarnation in ourselves (to live). After: what we were and what we will be. I agree with Labirint, shooting must be reinforced with others, in a series. I do not like the water, too clean and trimmed.
PS
You were all going crazy? :-D

I look at the picture and see a "process" the composition is malcurata, in the sense that the cut cup, the vertical line but not aligned oblique color, then I see that it was made with a smartphone and then give her a chance and read the "caption". After reading and regarded it seems to me that the photo may make sense, even if does not hold the depth of thought expressed.

Congratulations for the caption and the idea 8-) ...
Shooting in itself it could be run with a pdr more frontal and cup should not be cut ...
However, considering the limited space and the equipment supplied find it very good ...
What I would consider is to do it in black and white contrasted ..
So that it is like "urbanpunk" (invented but I would not know what to call it :-D) ..

Hello, you better shooting could cure in his mess, you could order leaving messy in the message, so it can not be evaluated positively, the caption should suggest a reading, but the shot must lead the way, always from my point of view .
Hello,
Walter

Maximum you win! :-D In the "joke" and with much courage you managed anyway to cough up an interesting shooting and unconventional. Sin to miss cup that piece, the rest I appreciate also refusing to apply any kind of PP that would make "artistic." So raw is that it works! The caption is then a lesson ;-)

Thank you all for the move. In fact able to do the shooting in the narrow bathroom of the train car, it was a bit 'stunt. I had to hold the phone on the head without the ability to point and shoot blindly.
For the purposes of shooting, that there is or is not the whole cup does not matter, from my point of view. Then conversions in b / w or less ...
As regards "composition", commented Marco expect, partly recipient of the image, before saying my ...

I agree that it is unimportant that the cup is full and I think it would take away the BN, it is my opinion but I think that many times the BN is a strong paraculata interesting to make a shot that maybe difficult lighting conditions is poorly managed.
But here the simple lights create for me a certain detached vision of the photographer, as if taking reality as it is without artifacts without embellish it, is only the result of the post as the inscription suggests, just that he needs a job to be sustained, maybe continuous, dumping at sea or in the river all this aseptic eye and not embellished, a survey of where they go these water particles ???

Shooting itself does not tell me much, but I like it as a composition, even if the cup is cut.
I would try a b & w.

The shot does not tell me anything, reading the caption sense is there and is strong. You had to play a lot better shooting in my opinion.

Only 10 like?
Well, there's a scene and you do not have too many friends on your list know me (note that like all arrive by the group, a sign that love to those who see) :-D
This shot is dedicated to my photography and a catchphrase started on the comments of the group, so I feel "directly responsible" for this deviation from your conservative style :-D
It will also be a challenge, but if I had written only the title and shooting, was a picture ... the toilet !!!
With the explanation, sorry to say, everything becomes interesting, it becomes part of the project and the study (ok, let's pretend that he studied :-D).
I do not know if the story you've thought before or after shooting, but it fits well and is very interesting.
the teI cnica not care, here the juice is the message.
My like you take him for making me the verse: -D: -D: -D

So ... the shots that need a caption are not very strong in 95% of cases, as written by someone else with a project and making a gallery even the caption begins to make sense, as you wrote yu regardless of the shooting ...

Maserc look at that for me caption is very important in certain jobs and nor by the context.
I'll give you a concrete example, Taryn Simon makes a reportage or perhaps I should call it social survey, asking for what items people are willing to risk trying to take them with you on the plane?
Nor it is born a particular job and thorough entitled Contrabband
3.bp.blogspot.com/_PvWDY3FzJRY/TGwFTZv7GmI/AAAAAAAACPY/3_dUv7nko_4/s16
but no explanation seeing one of those single photo you would have considered?

There are many more photos that maybe are well done, beautiful scenery, beautiful portraits but in the end they do not say and do not tell a pipe, maybe you govern themselves but have little to hold

beautiful caption, gives dignity to a trip of a little 'poor.
the link between caption and photo so it works
the idea is there but you could achieve it better, even with a phone.
I might have ventured a bn :)
beautiful provocation, maybe do an album!

The photos alone does not tell me much. In my opinion should be included in a series would acquire force.
