Punta Sardegna si trova nel comune di Palau e si raggiunge in auto seguendo una stretta stradina che attraversa tutta Porto Raphael. Inerpicandosi di giorno sulle rocce che sovrastano il faro, si può attendere la sera e poi la notte da una ottima posizione poraelevata dalla quale osservare non solo il faro ma gran parte dell'arcipelago di La Maddalena.
