Sorry that I have not been around for a few days, I've been unwell. I'll try and like some of your images tonight but probably no comments and I'm out all day tomorrow, to catch up! Out today, for the first time in a while and these two arches that once spanned the River Stour at Blandford Forum are all that survives of a railway line that closed in 1966. #BlackAndWhite #Bridges #River

Sorry to hear you've not been well, Tim - I was afraid that might be the case with several days of Juza silence! Hopefully you're doing better now, as you're beginning to get out and about!

I know this scene very well - I photographed a nuthatch climbing over those arches! I like the shooting position you have chosen with the weeds in the river and the sky that was breaking up attractively for you!

Thank you Ann. I guessed that you might know of this scene - it looked both English and Italian at the same time, I thought, with the poplars and the architecture. Did you see the person and dog on the right? Only had short time in Blandford, there's now only three busses per day and now run by Dorset County Council - expensive fares and of course, you can only get a ticket for that route and operated by them, so I won't be back, at least for a while.

The person - yes, the dog - no!
Yes, the poplars are quite continental! Blandford is a pleasant little town but you've probably had sufficient opportunity to photograph most of what you would want on this and previous visits, so I'm sure you will be happy to turn your attentions in other directions!
