Now I can almost touch you ... sent on September 04, 2016 (22:22) by Alberto Sobrero. 12 comments, 656 views. [retina]

at 16mm, 1/250 f/11.0, ISO 100, hand held. Monviso, Italy.

Excellent backlight management and guessed panoramic cut. You have done well to insert the summit cross and helmet to better contextualize the shot even though I got a good backpack to clarify even better the concept. I agree on Punta Udine, even though from Granero you have a fine view on Monviso. Hello and good photos! David

... And do not forget the resume point you have from Meidassa!
Congratulations as always for your ascents and for photos even when, as rightly say, have not been made with the best lighting conditions ...

I have never been there, now you made me want to explore the north of the Kings area. The setting is beautiful, but your picture will be a little busy as it is the top, for the reasons I've already told you ... :-D the composition I say, as almost always happens with Viso taken from the north or n / s, everything is tilted in ds. Perhaps you could hold the top of sn and Monviso to right, throw it there without knowing the place and therefore subject to error. The helmet could position it better, not tossed in my opinion, but you are forgiven because of altitude! For the light from here is a big mess, I think that if you fail to have the sun just behind the top of Monviso with rays that surround is a great photo, the casino is that you have to be there in poco..alpinistici times. ;-) Bravo anyway, I likemuch these alpine shooting! 8-)

I like the horizontal lines of clouds that make a striking contrast to the verticality of the Monviso. fascinating and grandiose setting.
Congratulations and hello.

Great looking shot Alberto, congratulations!
I do not think that will have tons of fans, as the lighting conditions were not optimal and then shooting a bit 'so affected by departing from all subject-light-colors that usually appeals to everyone (but who still it manages to be on top of Udine dawn ;-)?); But I think that the high mountain photos (as indeed all) should also be a document to mean to the viewer what is the feeling of those who had the will and the good fortune to get there, so I posted too .
enlightening thought, fully shared, and that they should read in so many here on the forum ... ;-) 8-)

Nice shooting! Even though the light is not great, a nice photo remains :-)
I think the only way to get to Udine at dawn is to sleep at the Giacoletti refuge.
