Fontana Maggiore, Perugia. Fu progettata in stile gotico, tra il 1275 ed il 1278, da Nicola Pisano e dal figlio Giovanni, con la collaborazione di frà Bevignate da Cingoli per la parte architettonica, di Rosso Perugini per la parte superiore bronzea, di Boninsegna Veneziano per la parte idraulica: venne realizzata per celebrare l'arrivo dell'acqua nell'acropoli della città grazie al nuovo acquedotto, che convogliava nel centro di Perugia le acque provenienti dal monte Pacciano, situato a pochi chilometri.
