An interesting character - beautifully sharp and lovely blurry background produce by the shallow depth of field. That's quite a collection of tie pins he has, too! |

Sergio - and Ann - yes, a former RAF (Royal Air Force) pilot was my opinion, who was also very much into music of the 1950's and 60's rock and roll. He did look at me between the two shots I took of him but with so many other subjects and people in Trafalgar Square on a Saturday, it was easy to pretend someone else was my subject! This sort of lens is ideal for street snaps at a distance, Ann. (But a good one - or even a bad one! - is not cheap. Lens also used also on Invisible Man shot same day. |

I would love to get this amount of sharpness but I don't think my 18-300 can achieve it, even on a tripod! |

I had to stop down by 1/3rd of a stop as this oldish Sigma is not at its best at f2.8 and 200mm. Your 18-300mm maximum aperture would be about f5.6 at 200mm! If I had the latest pro Nikon VRII 70-200mm f2.8, I wouldn't get change from £1500, but this Sigma was 1/3rd of that - I would love to upgrade to the latest stabilised Sigma or Tamron but they have hiked the price to £800 new now. Downside is such a fast lens is big and conspicious and heavy, though removing the large lenshood can make it less obvious in crowds. |

A portrait well done.
The pins applied on the tie are very strange to understand for an Italian, of course the subject you have chosen you love airplanes and flying.
Good day.
Patrician Un ritratto ben realizzato. Le spille applicate sulla cravatta sono molto strane da comprendere per un italiano, certo il soggetto che hai scelto ama gli aerei e il volo. Buona giornata. Patrizio |

The focus is beautiful and enhances the "urban portrait." Hi Davide Lo sfuocato è splendido e valorizza il "ritratto urbano". Ciao Davide |
