Alfa Lyr è uno dei tr vertici che compongo il famosissimo triangolo estivo. Si tratta di una stella bianca ed è a soli 25 anni luce dal nostro sistema. Nella seconda metà degli anni Ottanta il satellite IRAS ha individuato un' anello di polveri intorno alla stella e ciò sta ad indicare la chiara presenza di pianeti ed asteriodi...anche se avendo un ciclo vitale stimato in un miliardo di anni solamente molto probabilmente la vita come noi la conosciamo non potrà mai esistere. Recenti studi ipotizzano però la presenza di un pianeta supergigante gassoso. Questa foto la dedico al juzzino Riccardo ( Vega ) che è sempre molto disponibile e prodigo di consigli!!!
