I could tell that this was taken at maximum aperture, Ann, without having seen the data, but indeed a fantastic and fabulous sky, usually found further west (of Dorset!) |

I knew you'd pick up on the aperture, Tim! I picked up on it, too, but not until after the event! :)) I know you despair of me..... Taken this evening! Surely the sky is the sky wherever - in England, at least! |

Oh, I did wonder if it was taken a while ago, before you knew of 'such things..' I caught this evening's sky, too, not as dramatic as yours but the light was spectacular. I think I was trying to refer to that it looked like an Irish sky. Stereotyping perhaps. |

The sky really was incredible this evening - sun, white puffy clouds, black clouds, downpour, sun......... I'm playing with this in mono and rather liking it! I've been to Ireland twice but don't remember the sky particularly - but then that was before photography became my passion! |

Photography has NOT always been a passion!!!!!!!!!??????????????? Oh, Ann... We didn't have the downpour, or the black clouds, just dark grey. You'll see one tomorrow (probably) |

Lol! It's always been an interest. My first film of photos, as a child, was of distant (very distant!) deer, I believe! It's been a growing passion for about ten years :) Just posted the mono version - what do you think? I'm only just beginning when it comes to mono conversion, so do feel free to say what you really think. |

Hello Ann, the scenery is very beautiful and also very interesting sky. You may post, groped to lower the high lights of the sky, I am sure that in this way would be out of the most beautiful colors and shades. Or with the help of a tripod you might try, for a picture like that, at least a couple of shows and then merge with the level of specific masks :-) Ciao Ann, il paesaggio è molto bello ed anche il cielo molto interessante.

Hello, Alchie! Thank you so much for your most helpful and welcome comment! I have already lowered the high lights considerably from the original but I could have lowered them further - I shall take another look. I have no experience of masks and merging (although I often do use a tripod!) - I must find out how it's done! This is my view from home, so I will have plenty of opportunities to practise! Ann :)) |
