Qui, dove mi trovo in questa piovosa mattinata di maggio, le minute sabbie di qualsiasi clessidra sono state disperse con i venti di tramontana già molti secoli fa, quando qualcheduno che amava la montagna ha disegnato questo spazio di quiete, chiedendo in prestito centinaia di metri quadri di terra al bosco amico. Con molta probabilità, allora, qualche figura soprannaturale ha intercesso in favore di quell'essere razionale che voleva stabilirsi qui, perché il bosco, dopo una momentanea esitazione, ha donato al mortale una radura di luce e di erba meravigliosa, di rara bellezza, se non unica nel suo genere, poiché non ho nulla nella mia nuda mente umana che si possa comparare a questo quadro rinascimentale, anche se richiamo alla ragione le tante malghe che ho visitato durante la mia infanzia, quando, scortato dall'ombra paterna, solcavo i monti della mia amata valle. Di sicuro di alpeggi e di pascoli ce ne sono ancora, alcuni ben sistemati, ma questo luogo, tracciato dalla matita espressiva dell'Altissimo, possiede una magia particolare che riesce a distinguersi pienamente da tante altre radure. Il pascolo ha dalla sua parte delle misure non indifferenti in quanto ha un diametro maggiore di cento metri in larghezza, mentre, dalle faggete di settentrione, avvalla molto dolcemente verso sud est per circa duecento metri, fino a lambire un bosco di leggiadre betulle che paiono raccogliere, tra le loro braccia di rami, tutto il manto verde che scende dall'alto. Poco prima di questa macchia arborea finale, madre natura ha plasmato un grande incavo nel terreno, raccogliendo in primavera un'infinità di fiori pratensi. Il culmine di questa attrattiva, parlando per esperienza vissuta, sopraggiunge nel mese di maggio quando un'intera coperta di narcisi selvatici, dal bianco latteo e tinteggiati al centro di arancione, ammanta l'intera superficie. Il luogo in questione è come se fosse la porta del mio personale eden, uno stargate che mi conduca per mano nel luogo ideale dei miei sogni, dove poter invecchiare serenamente, fantasticando universi privi d'ipocrisia e di sofferenze di ogni sorta, perché solo a questo regno celestiale posso paragonare un simile angolo di mondo. Così, anche oggi, come tante altre volte, mi elevo piano sul prato, con lo sguardo rivolto verso la luce, verso quella pace, in direzione di ciò che potrebbe assomigliare al viso dell'Onnipotente, semmai Iddio abbia un volto così sereno, simile in qualche maniera ai nostri ideali più assoluti…
