This is incredibly beautiful Ann! The sliver of sharp focus, the low angle and the composition of the elements make for a wonderful image. Between us, I can make a fish market look beautiful and you can with weeds too! What a pair we are!!

It seems to me the sort that I photographed two weeks ago. In Acta plantarum (section "What plant is?") They told me that it is Lamium purpureum L. (False nettle purpurea). Then on television I saw one that said that cooked food is good and does well, even if it stinks to be alive, especially by rubbing the leaves (in fact, I seem to remember that Pignatti in Flora of Italy speak of "fetid smell"). And 'quite remarkable that you have totally ignored the flower, which then would not be bad at all and deserves some attention ... In truth you can not figure out where you made the focus, perhaps on red leaf upper right .

Beautiful. It should be Veronica arvensis.

Thank you, Murmunto, for your very detailed comment! I do indeed believe it to be Lamium. Whether or not it is edible, I am not tempted to eat it!

I agree that the flower itself is very pretty but this image was not about the flower but the tiny white hairs that the sunlight was catching on the edge of the leaves.

Thank you very much, Giovabubi!

I think it is actually called Lamium.

Ann :)

but this was not about the flower, but the small white hairs which sunlight was reaching the edge of the leaves.

Yes ... But I guarantee you that the flower has many small white hairs ;-) (It was he too reached by the sun)

Indeed that is true, Murmunto! :)

However, I like a shallow depth of field that reveals only a small area in detail and hints at the beauty of the rest. It is the way in which I choose to express my art! Images which show every detail are, of course, very beautiful but are a different expression - or record - of what is seen. There is room for both types of photography! :)

I looked in your journal for your image, but I see that you do not post any here on Juza.
