ALL the exotic places I get to walk to, in London! With the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf in the distance, I initially liked the big yellow iron gates with the heavily graduated filtered dark grey sky and the way the clouds rush out. The market is trade only and you can see is open from 04.00 to 9.30 A.M. only!! I bet it smells in there!!! |

Even nothing is moving, I feel this shot somehow dynamic (and not just because the sky has clouds). I don't know why... I especially like the left edge, the brickwall and the skyscraper. Bravo Tim. |

It might be that sense of exploding sky, Jypka? Many thanks my fine Finnish friend! |

Everything about this image draws the eye in through those gates! The ball of yellow against the black gives a nice punch of colour to balance the rest of the yellow, too! Nice one, Tim! |

I bet you're jealous of these romantic exotic locations I find myself in, Ann?! But that's what I like - with an Oyster card, one is never far from an underground (DLR here) and so cannot really get too lost. This was taken about 3/4 hour before the blue hour houseboat image. |

I have to admit that you roam in places I wouldn't naturally consider but I'm not averse to a bit of going off the beaten track myself, although I guess I've not done it that much in London. As you say, with an Oyster card and the underground, there's little danger of getting lost! |
