#luoghidiculto #chiese In passato era frequente realizzare degli ossari nei pressi delle chiese; uno dei più artistici è quello della Chiesa di Cepina vicino alla chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. Particolarmente caratteristica è la cancellata in ferro battuto un’opera del mastro Giuseppe Pini di Grosio; un gioiello non solo per i particolari ma anche nelle decorazioni pregiate essendo fatte ad arco che poggiano su quattro colonne in una pietra preziosa del Monte Vallecetta. Tradizionalmente vengono tramandati i nomi di due artefici che avrebbero realizzato l’opera: Carlo Colturi di Cepina e Giacomo De Gasperi, recenti ricerche archivistiche del parroco fanno però pensare che la paternità del capolavoro sia da attribuire ad un Giuseppe Pini di Grosio e che Colturi e De Gasperi siano stati degli aiutanti (questo sulla base del registro dei pagamenti, che assegna al Pini un compenso molto maggiore). Le cancellate, a fitti ricami in ferro, occupano lo spazio tra le arcate a tutto sesto affacciate all’interno che poggiano su quattro colonnine in pietra del Vallecetta scolpite (nel 1718) dal mastro Giacomo Schena e Filippo Bracchi
