A chilly dawn, made even chillier by a little desaturation..... |

Another that's so beautiful! No lens data? |

Thanks, Tim - taken on the same morning. I wasn't sure about the lens. It's the 18-55mm but the one listed says VRII and mine just says VR. What's the difference? |
| sent on February 13, 2016 (2:49)
The VR model came before the VRII. If the VR is in red on the lens it's a mk1, in gold, a VRII. This improvement claimed to increase the anti shake capabilities from 3 stops to 4 stops. |

Yes - that one - the writing's in gold. So you're saying it's a VRII? |
| sent on February 13, 2016 (3:07)
No. I wrote that before I saw this lens. On 18-200mm's VR is in red (which I have), the VRII is in gold. My 16-85mm VR is in gold, which I believe is the second generation of VR. So, it's Nikon being inconsistent, not me! The dates of manufacture for the 18-55 in the link is 2007 -2013, which must be yours. |

Ok, so I don't think it's listed. I've just checked my 55-200mm and the VR is in red. I'll now need to check that I've got the right lens in my kitlist but my iPad is refusing to play ball at the moment and won't load the page! |

I trust you're looking (when you can) in the discontinued lenses listed, rather than illustrated, below current lenses. All but the oldest have photos so you can easily identify. |

No, I'm probably not - I don't think I realised there were separate lists. I'll check tomorrow now - it's getting late! |
