L'immagine mostra il campo della Nebulosa Medusa (IC 443, in basso a destra), resto di supernova situata nella costellazione dei Gemelli, vicina alla brillante stella ? Geminorum. La nebulosa ha un età compresa tra 3000 e 30000 anni e una dimensione stimata di 70 anni-luce. La seconda stella luminosa del campo, a sinistra della nebulosa Medusa, è ? Geminorum, circondata da una interessante regione HII denominata Sh2-249. Al centro dell'immagine in alto si possono, invece, apprezzare l'azzurra nebulosa vdB75 e l'interessantissimo oggetto IC 444. Canon Eos 450D modificata Baader, Tecnosky 80 Apo Triplet ridotto ad f/4.8, Skywatcher Eq6 Pro. 19x600s @800ISO. Castelmagno, Cuneo.
