Il Faro Voltiano è una torre ottagonale alta 29 metri eretta nel 1927 sulla vetta del Monte Tre Croci (località San Maurizio) in occasione del centenario della morte di Alessandro Volta. Nella volta centrale del faro fu collocato un busto del fisico comasco. Il faro fu inaugurato l'8 settembre 1927 con l'intervento dell'allora Ministro delle Comunicazioni, Costanzo Ciano. Progettato dall'ingegnere Gabriele Giussani, ha al suo interno una scala a chiocciola di 143 gradini che permette di raggiungere due balconate circolari: la prima poco sopra il portone d'ingresso, la seconda all'esterno della lanterna; da questi punti è possibile vedere panorami che spaziano sull'arco occidentale della catena alpina, fino al Monte Rosa.
