Innanzitutto i dati tecnici. L'obiettivo e' il 12-24 sigma a 17mm. Una discreta ottica, che presenta pero' notevolissimi problemi di flare. Il diaframma e' stato impostato a 22 per ottenere un effetto di diffrazione sul sole, non per ottenere il flare che si e' insinuato nell'immagine non esplicitamente voluto.
"Il flare a me non piace perché non è un elemento del luogo ripreso ma un'interferenza esterna". Permettimi alcune considerazioni in merito che non riguardano solo questa immagine.
Innanzitutto lasciami notare che la fotografia e' fatta, in buona parte, di "interferenze esterne" cosi' consolidate da non essere piu' messe in dicussione. Cio' e' vero anche per la fotografia di paesaggio. Esempio ne e' la foto in bianco e nero. Noi non vediamo in bianco e nero. Conosco un fotografo professionista olandese che opera in africa e fotografa solo con banco ottico, dopo il tramonto e a lunga esposizione. Ricusa il bianco e nero come una distorsione del reale. Ai piu' parrebbe un atteggiamento fondamentalista.
Tutti poi indulgiamo nelle lunghe esposizioni. Le nuvole striate sono un effetto che i piu' di noi considerano gradevoli, e pur non sono realistiche poiche' noi viviamo nel tempo reale, non in quello congelato. Lo stesso vale per il moto ondoso reso ovattato dai tempi lunghi.
Ritenendo che parti sovraesposte e bruciate siano sgradevoli, spesso correggiamo con esposizioni multiple, anche quando la sovraesposizione appare pure a occhio nudo.
Sono solo esempi, ce ne sarebbero molti altri.
D'altra parte, lasciami aggiungere, la riproduzione del reale e' una chimera, un'astrazione non raggiungibile. Un'immagine e' un'immagine, il reale, anche quello che appare, e' un'altra cosa. E' tridimensionale, per inziare.
Mi pare che la discussione attorno alla realisticita' nella foto meriterebbe tanta piu' attenzione, e ti rigrazio dunque dello spunto fornito.
Ci sono poi le valutazioni estetiche, di gradevoilezza dell'immagine. Anche qui lasciami dire che sarebbe molto interessante interrogarsi sulla genesi dei canoni estetici nella fotografia, in particolare di quella di paesaggio.
Limitandosi pero' allo "stato delle cose" e parlando del flare, io devo dire che a me talvolta piace, altre volte di meno. In questa immagine pare anche a me un poco invasivo, e non del tutto coordinato, condividiamo dunque in buona spostanza il giudizio estetico.
