Negli ultimi 20 anni è stato avviato un progetto di ampliamento e ristrutturazione delle metropolitane di Napoli, le quali sono state abbellite con oltre 200 opere d'arte. Nel piano intermedio della stazione di Vanvitelli è possibile ammirare una grande spirale in neon che rappresenta la scala di Fibonacci, una delle ultime opere dell'artista Mario Merz. Questa foto rappresenta la prima di una serie di scatti, destinati a valorizzare le "Metrò dell'arte" considerate tra le più belle d'Italia e del mondo.
