at 300mm, 1/250 f/8.0, ISO 400,

Basingstoke, UK. Usually, this sort of architectural pattern study would be an automatic choice for black and white, but I so loved the deep blues, it had to be left as it was. Reminds me of reflected patterns in a Mediterranean swimming pool, not an ugly town in England, on a cold day.

Great abstract, Tim! Love the blues and the broader white panel is like a bridge stretched over water!

Love YOUR interpretation too, Ann! Basingstoke can pull a few surprises (if you look closely and frame to exclude everything else out!)

Did you see the even more colourful one??

I don't know Basingstoke at all but that has got to be true of just about anywhere!
I have seen the other one and already commented :)

Basingstoke does have a bad reputation - mind you, any post war overspill of London has such, bad buildings, bad planning etc. But as you can see, a couple of the newer office blocks are really great and interesting. There is an 'old town' part too, of course, which is OK but hardly worthy of postcards to loved ones!

Reminds me of Salvadore Dalis's melting clock, congrats Tim
