On this awfully dull and dreary day, here is a late April landscape with the attractive village church of East Meon, Hampshire. Taken on the same afternoon as the two weird animal skull images posted up on Juza, to compensate for their ugliness, perhaps?

A beautiful splash of colour on this dull day! I love the light catching the church and the curved tractor track and trees in the foreground!

Actually, it wasn't a dull day, there is a faint splash of sunlight over the village. I kept the contrast of this part low as it revealed more detail and made the church stand out better. Thank you again Ann.

Sorry - I was a little ambiguous - I meant today being a dull day, not the day you took the photo, Tim. I've only seen maybe twenty minutes of semi brightness today.
This image reminds me of the landscape at Fontmell Down where I took the River of Poppies photo. There is a village with a similar church tower down in the valley there, too.

I didn't see any brightness at all! And tomorrow looks no better!

And yes, this landscape is so quintessentially English, except of course, rapeseed is NOT a traditional English crop!
