Più a meridione della Palmaria si trova l'isola del Tino, riconoscibile per la sua forma triangolare e rocciosa, abbondante di pino marittimo, leccio, mirto, lentisco e corbezzolo. Riportata nelle carte medievali col nome di Tyrus maior, da numerosi decenni essa è sotto la giurisdizione della Marina Militare, quindi è un'area sottoposta a vincoli non aperta liberamente alle visite. La restrizione ha di fatto ridotto la pressione antropica al minimo permettendo lo sviluppo naturale di una vegetazione lussureggiante, che fa da cornice a incantevoli paesaggi. I versanti sono caratterizzati ad occidente da una chiara ed inviolabile falesia sulla cui vetta (l'isola è alta 122 m) si trova il faro militare, da sempre guida dei naviganti. È una costruzione fortificata neoclassica che nel corso del tempo ha visto numerosi cambiamenti, tanto da rappresentare un esempio di transizione tra le costruzioni militari di scuola francese e le più recenti fortificazioni del XIX secolo. Da lato orientale si trova anche un porticciolo, unico approdo possibile per i vistatori. La sua superficie è di circa 13 ettari, racchiusa in un perimetro di due chilometri. Tra i muretti a secco dell'isola è possibile scorgere il Tarantolino, il più piccolo geco italiano e specie endemica. Nei pressi dell'approdo si trova una zona archeologica con resti dell'epoca romana e rovine del cenobio medievale, testimonianza di antichi insediamenti monastici. Pur essendo interamente zona militare il 13 settembre, giorno del patrono San Venerio, l'isola si apre ai visitatori, inoltre è possibile visitarla anche attraverso escursioni organizzate dal Parco.
