I love this, Tim! And I'm not even one for photographing flowers really. The focus on the display is really sharp but, for me, the image is all about the background! The arches and rows of red are lovely but the stained glass window is superb!

Belliissimi colors and composition.
Congratulations Tim! Hello!
Sergio ;-) :-P

A blurry, out of focus stained glass window is better than a sharp one?! But yes, I've said this so many times, just cos the background is way out of focus, the elements within an image are always part of the whole. The 'rows of red' are lampshades for the choir, to read their music. St Thomas' has huge windows that allow a (comparitively) large amount of light in - you don't think of getting 1/200 sec with just iso 200, now, do you, in a church interior!

You know I say what I see, as I see it, Tim :))
And I wouldn't really know - as I said, I'm still not confident about what I can achieve with different settings - still fumbling my way through (but at least I'm not totally reliant on 'auto' any more.....)

You're doing fine, Ann, as you are. Enthusiasm for the subject and the art form is the main thing and you certainly have that! I've been doing photography, in some shape or form for almost forty years.
