, Posa B f/3.5, ISO 400, tripod.

Critiche!? Come posso migliorare? Ma sopratutto......voi come li riprendete sti benedetti FLAT? 20 pose da 240secondi a 400iso

Come on, it's not bad, if the riprendevi horizontally but it was better, at least in the rest of the complex remained nebulous. Unfortunately DSS is not the best, the first thing it does is kill the colored stars making them flat. For Flat, if badly done and not put it better, as you have seen well ruin the photo. To do it well, you should refer to the web is full of advice, me to do before I bought a generator from Tecnosky flat so not crazy. To get them you have to puntarer to diffuse light and possibly even white and shoot, then look at the histogram of the flat that must be as similar as possible peaks in the histogram of the frame, then only the flat is balanced .... but with a generator once compared the histogram, you can adjust the brightness as required with a potentiometer in order to have the stexed peak of the photo. For bias no problem, put the shutter to 1/4000 leaving the ISO you have used it and fifteen shots .. you can also use them for the next photo, while dark and flat you get them in the "hot" With that you could focus push you over 4 minutes, I would say 7 or 8 for each frame ... better than many short and long and short. Unfortunately, and I say that for me, there remains the problem of the processing, the end IRIS DSS are so laborious to manage and are not the best place for the best photos astronimiche, it takes an appropriate program as PixInsight but that is not free, But with that, once you learn to use it, get the most that no other program can give you. Hello and thanks for the ride :-)

This evening I found it difficult to frame the field as I wanted, because I think at the beginning of the recovery was at its zenith ..... I'll change the attachment point of the tripod head: fconfuso:
DSS will not be the best as well say, but I also noticed that when I step in, eg from 32 to 16 bits the core of stars is further flattened / burned. Be wrong in some parameter ... I promise that I will study better this step :-P
Sti flat then wow! I read various discussions on various forums, shooting techniques seem to be basically 4: -flat box; -cielo at dusk; -object lighted white (paper card, shirt, wall); -or frame the white screen of the PC; I use theor screen of the cell, I stand in front the goal and tack. But I make mistakes in the parameters of the machine. As suggested I keep the same iso session, same f, the machine only varies the shutter speed automatically ..... doing so, however, the peak of the histogram remains central ..... and not always equal to the peak of ' histogram frame shooting: fconfuso: wow! :-( the next will make them as you suggest: -D
I had read, I do not know where :-(, that if the exposure times of flat no more than the second (and by the method that I use does not surpass) could be resumed at a later date .... crap? Heresy?

Increase exposure times !? gulp! I do not know if my pursuer holding them ..... D but we will see here is yet another question .... since, lontano from 'THE I made shots from four minutes to ISO 400, f / 3.5, and since the peak of the histogram was already far beyond 30-40%, managing to increase shutter speeds should vary some parameter not to burn frames .... better to close them fo diminish them still iso?

PixInsight !? See Santa Claus who thinks :-P

I wait for Santa Claus but also fury to postpone I resigned.
The dark subtract the hot pixels, the flat cold ones, but if you can not get them right, you run the risk that subtract pixels healthy ... If you are unsure forget, if possible, use only the dark and bias. If you really want to do things right you should get a generator flat, passing all the palliatives that make you lose time and do not guarantee anything, I took one of the Geoptik and I assure you that you do not fatigue, sometimes are also used if not urgent. I do not know that astroinsieguitore uses, however, if it is mechanical spring type as I suppose, up to 5 or 6 minutes supports them, then the focal length from 50mm light like yours I'd be too many headaches, then with six minutes f / 4 ISO 800 go to great as you are off the field ... Nikon suffers less thermal noise than the Canon, if you were using200mm with a tracker mechanic might have doubts about the load and smooth movement, calculating that I do not know how much weight he may judge your ... here it says "a nu se little shoeshine boys and sciurbì intu stessu tempu" the rest of you only to experience the potential of what you have, but I'd be like based on the parameters that you've suggested, you do not need anything more than try. ;-)
