L'ho fatta con la D800 e lo Zeiss 21 o con la D3x ed il 35 1.4 Nikon ... non mi ricordo ... 1 delle 2 comunque... diciamo con la D3x, poco importa... la D800 l'ho piazzata sul cavalletto e sto facendo un time-lapse per riprendere il sorgere del sole. sono partito presto e mi sono fatto il sentiero che conduce al belvedere sul Tasman Glacier in 1 oretta. ero qui anche ieri pomeriggio coi bambini, c'era un gruppo di fotografi e un sacco di gente allora mi son detto "torno domani..." e così mi sono alzato presto ed eccomi qui. faccio partire il time-lapse con la D800 puntata verso est. il cielo è sereno e non fa neanche freddo. siamo ad agosto ma qui è inverno. piazzo anche la D3x e la punto verso valle. non ho un secondo cavalletto quindi la piazzo in equilibrio precario su dei massi enormi e faccio partire un secondo time-lapse. cominciano a far capolino i primi raggi, le montagne cominciano a colorarsi, quand'ecco che si alza un forte vento. lascio la D800 e vado a controllare la D3x. era puntata sulle nubi che si vedono nella parte destra della panoramica. è scivolata e si è inclinata ma sta bene... il vento è fortissimo e le nuvole cominciano ad addensarsi mentre alle mie spalle la D800 macina scatti e il sole si affaccia all'orizzonte. le nuvoli si addensano vorticose ad ovest, la temperatura cala in maniera repentina mentre ad est il sole si alza. in breve tempo le nuvole si addensano nella valle e vengono verso il belvedere. con la D3x faccio la panoramica a mano libera. il sole è sorto, metto le macchine nello zaino mentre comincia a nevicare forte e mi avvio verso casa. il sentiero è scivoloso per la neve, fa freddo, tira un vento teso che mi schiaffeggia ad ogni passo... arrivo alla macchina che è completamente bianca per la neve che è scesa copiosa. torno a casa... i bimbi dormono... scivolo sotto il piumone e mi sdraio accanto a mia moglie... fra un'oretta dobbiamo lasciare il cottage, c'è tempo per una ronfata.
