Situato nella parte occidentale della città, se ne hanno tracce già a metà del Trecento in sostituzione di un altro ponte di trasbordo nelle immediate vicinanze. Distrutto nel corso della guerra fratricida tra Pietro I ed Enrico II, fu ricostruito per volere del vescovo di Toledo Don Pietro Tenorio. Presenta cinque archi a sesto acuto sostenuti da solidi pilastri e due torrioni esagonali alle estremità. L'ingresso alla città è dominato da un grande stemma imperiale con l'effigie dei sovrani raffigurati in posizione seduta. Il torrione interno è stato decisamente deturpato da modifiche postume e integrazioni realizzate durante il regno di Carlo II, mentre quello esterno conserva ancora le volte nervate, gli archi ogivali e rialzati. Nel 1921 fu dichiarato monumento nazionale.
