The photo of Remembrance sent on June 09, 2015 (21:49) by Andrea Biagiolini. 23 comments, 2491 views. [retina]

at 97mm, 1/20 f/10.0, ISO 1600, hand held. Auschwitz, Poland.

A volte.

Stefania, Roberto, Antonio; thank you . To forget is human, though criminal if done to hide the sins under the carpet of history.

I agree: everyone, then, should be the Days of Remembrance.

Thanks for posting this testimony with a stunning shot. I hope this is a warning to all those, and unfortunately there are still many, praising that time, hoping for the return. The anti-Semitic hatred, moreover, for many has moved, and is directed against immigrants, migrant etc. Add and do not judge: let us remember all that while not navigate in gold, we're lucky. Stretch a hand to those who are worse off than us, it is not only humanity, but duty. I'm sorry, dear Andrea, though, I took the opportunity to simply say: Do not forget the past and try to live more decently and with more charity, the present.
Best wishes
Anna Maria

Something indescribable a massacre without ceremony limits for shooting

Annamaria, you have summed up perfectly what the original photo - not my shooting - means; Jami, thanks to you.

Difficult to comment a photo so
I read the diary of Mary Berg
I am one who does not forget, and I can not forgive such an abomination
A whole nation is guilty of an indelible crime

I break the new habit of not commenting on my photos for a single purpose: I republish this image as the "sports" story of these days forces us to remember again.

It is not about "Pietas" but about "Intelligence" to miss.

Mankind is strange, composes music, paints beautiful paintings, creates unique works, then at some point jams and falls into the stupidity
incomprehensible

Yes, erased memory is the biggest crime.
Thank you for the visit, for this particular image.

All that vanishes remains in the universe in the form of energy is our residual humanity which should remember the past
