1/160 f/4.5, ISO 1000,

Grazie a tutti, Marco.

thanks, Paul, glad you like it.
Thanks also to you Vittorio.

As I say above, I was interested in a comparison between "portrait of a kid in Langa township" and "portrait of a kid in Langa township - bis" (in this same gallery). Any comments?

Thank you, hello, Marco.

Oh yeah ... I remembered it commented ... In all honesty I prefer the first shot itself already excelled. The original was well contrasted dramatically in this too have softened tones. It looks just change the appearance of the face. Finally, I am not convinced toning. The best pure B / N. There may however be some slight aesthetic corrections and compositional ... So I think you understand that I liked the first version ... :-P I do not want ...

Thank you, Lorenzo, and this' the kind of comment I wanted. Your suggestions are in line with the position to which I was already 'settling. When can I produce a third version, so ... 'bored all even more', no joke, and 'I believe in repetition as a tool for improvement. Thank you very much again, hello, Marco.

the photo is definitely beautiful, meanwhile congratulations!
Perhaps an idea might be to close a bit 'the diaphragm to give greater depth of field and give a glimpse of a little' more the person behind it, that sounds interesting ...
but it is only an idea, the picture is beautiful
ps I'd like to try the analog instead (without leaving the digital ...)
A greeting

Hello Vale,

I agree with you on the diaphragm, the subject of background, my mother, though better implemented freely give added value to the image. In those moments and 'hard to optimal shooting, I entered the cabin perhaps for one minute, I did 3-4 shots in different positions.

For analog, I know different people photographing film, at all levels, some even with the optical bench. The yield of an optical bench and 'exceptional, certainly not go for all kinds and for all photographers. But an old Pentax 6x7 .... But I have doubts about the reasons to remain available on products photographing to 35 mm.

Thank you, hello, Mark.
