In occasione dell'Ostensione della Santa Sindone dal 16 aprile al 30 giugno 2015 al Museo diocesano di Torino sarà esposto in un allestimento speciale il celebre quadro del Beato Angelico Compianto del Cristo Morto, in prestito straordinario dal Museo di San Marco di Firenze. L'esposizione è promossa dallo stesso Museo diocesano di Torino, dalla Consulta per la valorizzazione dei beni artistici e culturali di Torino e dall'Associazione Sant'Anselmo. Il Museo Diocesano di Torino, inaugurato nel 2008, costituisce a tutti gli effetti uno dei nodi del percorso del Polo Reale della Città. E' inserito nella Chiesa Inferiore del Duomo, di impianto rinascimentale con emergenze archeologiche relative alle basiliche paleocristiane, limitrofe al teatro romano. Il percorso di visita si sviluppa attraverso opere d'arte, che ripercorrono l'intera storia della Diocesi, sino all'arte contemporanea, esposte nel loro contesto storico, artistico e liturgico. Corona la visita la salita alla Torre campanaria, realizzata nel 1470 e sopraelevata dall'architetto Filippo Juvarra (1720), che da oltre 40 metri di altezza offre uno straordinario punto panoramico sulla Città.
