Ragni

, 1/200 f/11.0, ISO 400, tripod. Imola, Italy.

You surprised me with this description, I never imagined that the spiders were set free of the exoskeleton.
Noteworthy is also the location where you have the portrait. If it were possible I would try not to include the branch in the background! ;-)
Congratulations

I expected to be the PC to comment on the high resolution, do not see it well Mauro, the detail is quite mixed on the subject and the background very noisy, now I do not know whether it is due to a reduction for the web or to a fine not post , I like the composition, the sprig behind ... well ...:-D
Beyond the technique I find is a great document, you are one of the few that we can delight in these particular images accompanied by descriptions interesting, so I'll offer my sincere congratulations:-)
a warm greeting

Thanks Raffaella.
The photos I've taken in difficult conditions (the two legs on the left are "covered" by a branch), from the only position from which I could see the scene, with a view not excellent (Tamron zoom), with the argiope swinging, and in a hurry (thankfully, because after a few minutes he was already back in normal position).
In short, even the raw image is poor, but I posted the photo for the exceptional (from my point of view) of the document.

Thanks to all of the passage.

Unusual laying the spider, exhaustively explained an interesting caption. Beautiful spider (which I have not yet had the chance to meet) and excellent your macro.
