In questa occasione, come mi capita a volte, avevo di proposito lasciato a casa i gli zoommetti Sony e avevo portato con me tre dei miei "storici" Nikkor Ai, ovviamente con l'anello adattatore innestato sulla Nex. Però mi sono reso conto che, per la composizione che desideravo, mi occorreva una focale intermedia tra il 35mm f/2 e l'85/2 che avevo in borsa. Avrei potuto croppare una foto col 35, ma ho preferito fare una serie di scatti con l'85, tenendo la macchina in verticale, e poi li ho uniti con la funzione Photomerge di Photoshop. In questo modo ho usato l'85 con l'angolo per cui è nato, così come è stato per più di trentanni sulla Nikon FE.
