The shot was taken exactly by underexposing by 1 stop, then with DxO I used the Smart Lighting function Slight level that opens shadows and blacks at a moderate level, I gave a little microcontrast, lowered the sharpness of the lens, I didn't touch the colors as saturation and vibrance, I just removed brightness from greens, yellow and orange not having used the polarizer in shooting and therefore had a mirror effect.
I reworked by removing the Smart Lighting, now it should be as you suggested

Lo scatto è stato fatto esattamente sottoesponendo di 1 stop, poi con DxO ho usato la funzione Smart Lighting livello Slight che apre ombre e neri a livello moderato, ho dato un po' di microcontrasto, abbassato lo sharpness della lente, i colori non li ho toccati come saturazione e vividezza, ho solo tolto luminosità a verdi, gialli e arancioni, non avendo usato il polarizzatore in ripresa le foglie facevano effetto specchio.
Ho rielaborato togliendo lo Smart Lighting, adesso dovrebbe essere come hai suggerito

Sì, in effetti dalle mie parti il foliage è ancora "acerbo" questo è uno scatto di fine Novembre di 3 anni fa ma è stata una stagione strana, il foliage non arrivava mai e poi quando è arrivato è durato poco ed è stato assai "scarico"!
Non so se ritornerò in quella zona quest'anno, ho in mente altre mete per il foliage.
