Bagnoli del Trigno, è situata a 660 metri nella parte più bassa e 783 metri in quella più alta, sul livello del mare, a ridosso di un massiccio roccioso che si staglia tra il fiume Trigno e il torrente Vella. Le due altimetrie del paese, dai 635 in basso fino ai 681 metri, portano alla “scissione” sociale e culturale del paese in due zone distinte: “Terra di sotto” e “Terra di sopra”. E' chiamata dialettalmente "La Preta". Presenta un aspetto quanto mai suggestivo e caratteristico tale da meritarsi l'appellativo di "Perla del Molise".Il paese conserva i suggestivi ruderi del castello longobardo, antico baluardo strategico che racconta delle epoche passate.L'antica Chiesa di San Silvestro, con il suo suggestivo portale in stile romanico-gotico e il campanile eretto sulla roccia, rappresenta un prezioso tesoro storico risalente ai secoli XIII-XIV, testimone dell'antica fede e della devozione dei suoi abitanti.Bagnoli del Trigno è rinomata per le sue tradizioni uniche, tra cui la suggestiva processione delle "ndocce" durante il periodo natalizio, quando le torce accese vengono spente con il vino nuovo per augurare abbondanti raccolti, e la pittoresca sfilata dei carri dei "Mesi" durante il Carnevale, che anima le vie del paese con allegria e festa.
