Piazza Castello. Lunedì 28 agosto 2023, 09:58. In primo piano è la fontana denominata “Torta degli sposi”, nella quale sono chiusi i getti nella vasca centrale; la qual cosa lascia libera la visuale del Castello. Dietro ad essa, a deestra sul secondo terzo vediamo la Torre del Filarete, progettata dall'architetto Luca Beltrami e realizzata tra il 1901 e il 1905; dopo un'accurata ricerca, effettuata dallo stesso Beltrami, sui documenti e sulle fonti iconografiche della torre precedente, realizzata da Antonio Averulino detto il Filarete nel 1452 e crollata nel 1521. A sinistra si nota il Torrione di Santo Spirito, simmetrico al Torrione del Carmine che qui non è visibile (sarebbe oltre il bordo destro); entrambi realizzati dall'architetto Bartolomeo Gadio nel 1452. Ribassati prima nel Cinquecento e poi durante l'insurrezione contro gli Austriaci del 1848; l'attuale configurazione dei torrioni è dovuta ai restauri del Beltrami, che li riportò all'altezza originaria utilizzando i disegni del 1800 del Genio Militare francese. Anche le muraglie di cinta tra le torri erano ribassate e in parte demolite. Beltrami riportò anch'esse all'altezza originaria ricostruendo le merlate. Ho parzialmente raddrizzato le verticali tramite il software DxO ViewPoint 3 e, contrariamente alle regole canoniche della fotografia di architettura, non le ho messe perfettamente a piombo ma ho lasciato una leggera inclinazione, dal momento che così la foto mi pareva più “naturale” (sottolineo le virgolette). Sullo sfondo le nubi preannunciano un temporale, che in effetti sarebbe arrivato una mezz'ora dopo.
