This photo reminds me of the first astrophotography experiments I did when digital did not yet exist. It was probably taken from a fixed tripod and the stars crawled due to the Earth's rotational motion. You could make shorter poses and add up a few dozen images with one of the software dedicated to astrophotography of the deep sky. Optionally use a astrotracker.
PS: congratulations for the beautiful photos of birdlife.

Thank you.... This photo and 'was taken just as you said and if I'm not mistaken at 300mm and 10 seconds of exposure .... more than anything else there was the amazement of having "anyway" framed (unintentionally) something "new" .... I do not often try in this genre if not with more wide lenses and for the usual Milky Way that I portray whenever possible in the places where I go for the summer holidays.
However, the idea of taking more 'shots or at least setting the camera correctly for this genre seems to me the minimum.... For the astrotracker I would first like to read up extensively on what astronomy is and consequently go "without fail" or try if nothing else.

Thanks for the tip!! As mentioned it was a shot made without reasoning during an evening when I was doing other types of shooting (night landscapes on tripod) and in this case, given the evening quite clear ... I pointed the lens in the sky and I shot as soon as I had the focus on the stars ..... Returning home I realized that I had photographed what you see .... Usually the calculation for not having the blur I do but with much more 'wide objectives .... let's say the 14 or 24 ..... in this case at 5.6 aperture with a 300mm I had to use times much faster than the 15 seconds with which this shot was made or make a few dozen shots to be joined then (with programs that I could never fully understand ...)

Hello Diegoz, I with the formula that I told you I had satisfactory results with a single shot. Of course, the use of a tracker certainly allows better performances. Greetings
