Alcune sono lasciate al loro destino, altre più fortunate e forse più congeniali, vengono ristrutturate ed adibite a ristoranti o ad agriturismi. In tal senso però la storia e la tradizione si perdono a vantaggio di un turismo di massa ed economicamente più remunerativo.
A parer mio dovrebbero ristrutturare questi abitati ed aprirli al pubblico proprio come reperti storici o musei all'aperto, creandone intorno anche un percorso naturalistico e storico culturale.
