Arch. Carlo Amati. 1832-1837. Venerdì 3 settembre 2021, 15:06. Questa Basilica ha un orientamento anomalo, essendo l'altare maggiore rivolto a nord-ovest. I due edifici porticati simmetrici sono in gran parte stati ricostruiti dopo i bomberdamenti della II guerra mondiale. Si vedano i Link nel commento sottostante. Qui ho messo a piombo le linee veticali con il software DxO ViewPoint 3. Per via della deformazione anamorfica, dovuta alle ineludibili leggi dell'ottica e accentuata dall'uso di un obiettivo rettilineare dall'angolo di campo veramente esagerato (134.8°), la Piazza S. Carlo (che è pianta quadrata) appare più profonda e quindi la Basilica più incassata rispetto al Corso Vittorio Emanuele II di quanto non sia in realtà. #Chiese #Basiliche #Monumenti #Cupole #Piazze
