1983...Partiti da S.Vito di Cadore alle 3 del mattino sotto la neve ,con ciaspole e zaino di 40 chili ,siamo arrivati a passo Giau alle due del pomeriggio,in ritardo di 2 ore per aver perso un alpino sprofondato negli otto metri di neve che erano caduti in poche settimane Abbiamo cominciato a scavare subito le trune nella neve ,dove abbiamo passato la notte. Purtroppo un sottotenente ha perso l'alluce del piede per congelamento,e io me la sono cavata con il congelamento parziale dell'orecchio ,ho riacquistato la sensibilità dopo sei mesi e un colore normale dopo un anno Non ero mai più tornato sul passo Giau,ho sempre preferito fare il Falzarego Quest'anno,il 18 agosto ,dopo aver fatto una sosta a colle S.Lucia per ammirare il civetta dove ero salito durante il campo estivo,sono tornato dopo 38 anni sul passo Giau.....questo è stato l'unico punto dove sono riuscito a scattare la foto a causa delle centinaia di persone Un carissimo saluto a tutti Stefano
