Grazie a tutti...

Congratulations, both for the sharp and full of details photo and for the glance and cold blood, although I doubt that this animal was able to move with the necessary speed and therefore represent a real danger, if you do not trample it
Usually in this season they should be inside the burrows, they are cold-blooded animals and with all that snow and the low temperature of the soil is really strange to find a reptile in operation.

This meeting is very special.
Magari sends a message to Viperaaspis, he's an expert.

Splendid specimen, definitely atypical to find it out of the burrow this season and with snow! She was probably disturbed by someone or something... I also believe that if he didn't find a proper burrow soon I don't know how long it lasted... if Aspis answers you privately report his explanation here please!
Ad any way, congratulations on the shot! Good evening and happy new year. Andrew

Thank you Viperaaspis for your contribution... I'm glad I didn't say and/or think about inaccurate things. The ugly of our animals is that they are known but only in narrow fields dedicated, to the most, those few who still watch naturalistic documentaries, it is allowed to see lions, gazelles and at most penguins (all splendid and magnificent, we would miss it), but of the life of what surrounds us it is really difficult to find something ...

Thanks to the of the photographs I hope that my descriptions can be interesting and make known an important part of our ecosystem, certainly little understood and too often still unjustly despised

Absolutely you Viperaaspis, but with me you win easy, since I am a fan and I respect them deeply... as opposed to those who kill anything that crawls... as you say, unfortunately, respect for reptiles is still a rare and precious thing

Thank you for the very interesting explanation, this meeting fascinated me so much...
I had the Gopro with me too, but unfortunately I was without a selfie stick and I didn't feel like getting too close since it had started blowing and it didn't seem appropriate to stress it further ...
I fully agree with you, it would take a little more information and respect, our places and our animals are wonderful and definitely deserve more! :-)
