The The truce
We dreamed in fierce nights
dense and violent dreams
dreamed with soul and body:
return; eat; tell.
As long as it sounded short subdued
the command of Dawn:
«Wstawac '»;
And broke his heart in his chest.
Now we have found the house,
our belly is full,
we have finished telling.
It's time. Soon Udremo still
The foreign command:
«WSTAWAC '».
Primo Levi, 11 January 1946

It has been said that history does not repeat itself, but it rhymes with itself... right, then, remember what it was, for due respect to the victims of the past times and to keep your eyes open on this

Congratulations Giancarlo, as always a photo and a caption that give us to think, there is the whole description of the parable that I take to those unfortunate consequences, unfortunately it makes species nowadays see how many people have failed to grasp and elaborate the Sadness of the wicked choices that were made in those years, evidently mankind is doomed to repeat these errors in a cyclical way, maybe we have it in the Dna and unfortunately the instruction little can.
While sharing forgive me if I do not put a like on the photo even if it deserves, but it would be like applause at funerals, would cozzate with my culture.
A greeting
Silvano

Unlike Silvano, of which I appreciate the thought, I the "like" I put it as an endorsement for having published this photo in remembrance of a tragedy wanted by some and suffered by many. I think it's very useful to remember it, especially in times like the ones we're experiencing.

In truth, I, an idea to put into practice tomorrow, day of memory, not to forget, I would have but I can not "manifest" to avoid being accused of... apology of crime. :-(

Effective shooting and insightful Gianka!
you have to keep your memory alive... you have to remember all the time, at all, how human madness is capable! Yet... it is not enough and we are always ready to rejoin, in the violence daughter of ignorance blunt thrust by impulses and instincts deprived of any humanity!
Eppure...ci are people convinced that these things we left behind or worse have never happened! Amazing! Evil is always around the corner and it just takes a little because it resurfaces in all its violence! You have to keep your memory alive...
A soon,
Simone

Unfortunately these tragedies are not over, they have only changed the dress, strategy, adapting to The times, splitting in many aspects, maybe less large but present in wildfire all over the world.
I fully share the thought of Emme, if there was no man the earth would not have known cruelty, hatred, cowardice, suppleness, natural devastations and much more.
The cause of all this is the human being, not his political idea or the belonging to this or that group, history teaches that no idea has been imposed without suppression.
I conclude by thanking you gianka for giving us a way to remember the face of those who would rather make us forget.
a great greeting.
Eraldo. :-P
