The picture I like very much, the subject is nice and there is a beautiful light. If I did the shutter I would have closed the iris more to get it all in focus and I would set iso 100 for the best possible image quality (colors and file cleanup), also because since there is the tripod I could have quietly stretch the exposure time. But as I say the picture I really like, it's really nice, congratulations!

Thanks for your comment! !
Let's see, I used iso 200 because I was at f10. For the rest I used a flash ring that illuminated the scene well, but unfortunately I created those big lights on the vase. I would like to try to recreate a similar scene on the soft box maybe with a more uniform light.

I did not use flash or any soft box: in most cases a 400 watt halogen lamp, so direct light on the subject and white panel on the other side (now I understand the reason for the 200 iso). The soft box creates more uniform light, but flattens. I rather use the light of a window, I understand they are a bit spartan, but I'm more satisfied. And then it depends on the tastes, I'm looking for very strong contrasts of light (soft box softens my shadows too much).
Since I use flash I will ask you some advice because I want to photograph some subjects in a very fast moving, inside, so I can not help it and so far I have never used them.
Still compliments for your wonderful photo.

Nice still life composition, but above all I like to find out that it was shot with a Pentax K5II. Unfortunately, with flashes you have to pay attention to all those surfaces that can reflect the light. ;-)
