I recenti accadimenti sullo scacchiere internazionale,la recrudescenza di nazionalismi mai completamente sopiti, la riacutizzazione dello scontro Oriente - Occidente ed il generale clima di incertezza che ormai quasi generalmente ci pervade, mi hanno indotto a delle riflessioni personali che hanno richiamato alla mente discorsi sentiti, da bambino, dai miei genitori.Quasi istintivamente,un pomeriggio,ho raggiunto con un amico un cimitero di guerra Inglese ubicato a poche decine di chilometri da dove abito io,per la precisione a Torino di Sangro. In questo luogo ,dove riposano 2617 soldati di Sua Maestà provenienti da Australia,Canada,Nuova Zelanda,Sudafrica,India e Pakistan ho cercato delle risposte alla domanda di come,nonostante i nefasti precedenti,la follia umana non apprenda che la civile convivenza è il nostro bene supremo.Le foto che seguiranno,alcune accompagnate da brevi didascalie, sono la mia personale ricerca e contributo su questo interrogativo che penso accompagnerà l'uomo per sempre.
