Fighter sent on March 20, 2016 (11:56) by Roberto Marchitelli. 19 comments, 713 views. [retina]

con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/2000 f/10.0, ISO 1000, hand held. Roma, Italy. Specie: Philomachus pugnax

Thank you all :-)
@Muggio: I searched a lot on the net for the identification, orange legs and beak bicolor actually lead to gossip, but everything else leads up to the fighter.
It was a large group with almost all females, there were 2 males with partial dark suit and and this specimen.
On purely naturalistic forum (mediterranean nature), I found their evidence for the satellite fighter.
Honestly I do not have the ornithological culture to be sure, expect some confirmation from others who understand (Marco Valentini has already commented, serve Hedgehog and Cavalier_na).
A salutone ;-)

Yessir, male fighter at 100% good ... Rob ... I see you've studied :-D
For Muggio, try to look at both the pattern on its back, but above the silhouette, the gossip is more slender, has beak and legs longer and longer necks; the same model in flight has brilliantly photographed him Maurizio Baldari here on the forum and you can see that the wings do not have the distinctive white wing band Redshank
Greetings to you both

really nice snap, super Recovery Plan as detailed
Interesting is the explanation given by the caption and interesting
Also the debate that followed with interventions that help me to
certainly understand better what I'm going to photograph.
A greeting
