Il flehmen (Dal tedesco "arricciare le labbra") è un tipico comportamento di alcuni mammiferi nella stagione degli amori. Serve a captare, dalle gengive, i ferormoni presenti nell'aria e stabilire quante femmine sono in calore e pronte, quindi, per la riproduzione. Questo cervo, aveva un proprio Harem di 5 femmine due settimane fa e probabilmente adesso si sarà già riprodotto diverse volte con ognuna di loro per favorire la nascita di una nuova stirpe.
