con Canon EF 1.4x III, 1/800 f/6.3, ISO 1000, hand held. Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa. Specie: Panthera pardus

Great lovely shot.
Out of curiosity, this is not one of the leopards that are seen in private reserve bordering the Kruger but in fact is not included in the national park?

Thank you all!
Memy not understand what intendi.la photo is taken in sabie sands that is open to a private reserve in Kruger and mala mala, Londolozi and manyelety that are other three reserves private.in practice there is no fence of the national park and these reserves are part of an area called "great kruger np" .the animals can move without any problem ovunque.le no people ... in that it does not come from Kruger to sabie sands.
The difference compared to Kruger is that the land is private, supervision, etc. etc. is private.
Sabie sands is now the richest reserves of animals from all over the south africa.
This is a protected area before the kruger and very rich in food for herbivores.
Consequently, the density of predators is altissima.sopratutto lions and leopardi.iene very few because a pride of lions, the majinga, has exterminated.

Really did not mean anything in particular ... the Kruger is a national park and wildlife management with status different from the game reserve even if the 90 were removed the fences.
I'm surprised and I will get back what you say about the foundation because I remembered that you consider as the year of foundation of the Kruger in 1898 starting from the area of ??the Sabi river and then spread a little later until Olifants though, to remember those who were open to the public Kruger called and believe only in the 20's ...... The private reserves have always believed that there have been created after the Second World War and then restocking of animals when hunting safari before and photographic then became a business. However, they are reminiscent of the past when I went in Kruger in 1996 and I would not be wrong. ....

Memy, still I do not understand where we want to get.
Even if it is not relevant to the photo sabie sands born in 1898.
In 1948 the owners are associated
In 1961 due to poaching and disease in the kruger stand a barrier with Kruger himself.
In 1993, after a security agreement to remove barriers Kruger and flow into what is called great kruger.
In any case with the photo there engages little.
Mvule has no barriers in front of them, you could go in Kruger, in Mozambique or Zimbabwe but is perhaps better sabie sands ...
A greeting

Congratulations for this portrait of leopard is beautiful and detailed.
I particularly like the light on the nose that comes from the side and the shadow that marks the contrast.

With that abandonment in the pose and almost melancholy in his eyes he would want to touch it with a caress! Nice document, congratulations, Francesca
